It's fitting that he is planning to return to the big screen next year in the "8 Mile"-inspired boxing film "Southpaw." Because like Rocky after he was counted down and out so many times in that famous pugilist movie serial, Marshall Mathers seemed like he'd run out of gas in 2009 only to come storming all the way back, and then some, in 2010 to post one of his biggest and baddest years to date.
   At a time when younger artists like Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Lady Gaga are relying on social media, a dizzying blitz of promotional appearances and concerts, and a nonstop hype machine to keep their careers stoked, Eminem's path back to the top of the musical heap was decidedly old-school: He released a great album in Recovery that emotionally connected with fans thanks to some of the most hook-heavy songs of his career while maintaining an elusive persona that kept them guessing.Recovery not only brought him back to the top of musical heap but also won ten Grammy nominations.

Justin Bieber And Chris Brown To Release a new Song

  Justin Bieber has never shied away from a good collaboration. At the ripe old age of 16, the singer has worked with everyone from Sean Kingston and Ludacris to Kanye West and Raekwon. Now it looks like he has found a new collaborator: Chris Brown tweeted that he and the Biebs plan to drop a joint song this weekend.
  It's unclear whose album the song is for, but Brown seemed enthusiastic about the collabo. "ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!!" Brown teased. "2011."

   It has been a big movie year. As you’ve probably guessed, 2010 was all about Leonardo DiCaprio. Two of his flicks, Shutter Island and Inception, were among the 15 highest-earning movies at the global box office. He tops Forbes’ list for Hollywood’s biggest earners this year. This list is determined by box office gross only. Check it out:

No2 and 3, is a tie! Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska. Mia is the star of Alice in Wonderland Alice in Wonderland which did huge at the box office! was the second-highest-earning movie this year, with $1.03 billion at the box office.
No4  Robert Downey JR. Thanks to Iron Man 2 and Due Date.
No5 Daniel Radcliffe. We all know the Harry Potter films mean big box office bucks! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, which opened a month ago, is already the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2010 with $780 million at the global box office.

 Cashmoney's first lady nicki Minaj recently spot about her relationship with Kanye West and how he lyrics on his new "Monster" track came to be.
"Well I was great friends with Amber Rose when they were dating and she hadrecommended me to him for his album and finally I guess he relented [laughs]," Minaj said of meeting West, before explaining how her "Monster" verse was created. "One day I got a call from her and she said Kanye wanted me to come down to Hawaii and record for the album. He told me I could pick what I wanted to be on. I heard the beat for 'Monster.' I fell in love with it and that’s how the "Monster" verse happened."

Nollywood superstar was asked "what do you like in man? and I mean that in terms of his physique, Tejubaby Face asked the beautiful actress on his show that aired last night.

Bow wow Talks Label Switch and New Album

As you probably know by now, Bow Wow recently switched homes and became the latest new artist on Cash Money Records. With the change nearly done, Bow Wow sat down to discuss why he decided to switch record labels and how the change went down.He says

“It was time for me to move my brand elsewhere,” the 23-year-old explained. “I felt like the last label, nothing really bad to say about them, but I felt like the label was growing older and they didn’t really know what as far as my fan base as a younger audience really wanted. I felt like they was losing contact, so the best thing for me was to pick up and go to another place with a crew and everybody that got the same goal that I got, and that’s to win.”

     With one song from the upcoming album already out (the Chris Brown backed "Aint Thinkin About You"), Bow Wow says the first official single from the upcoming "Underrated" album will feature production from one of the most in-demand producers...

“The first single from the album is produced by Boi-1da, who is one of the hottest producers right now,He just sent me over something, and that will be the [single].”

    The album will also feature guest appearances from fellow rappers Lil Wayne, The Game and Nelly. There is no current release date for "Underrated

50 Cent's 52-Room Mansion Burgled

 Gunit's top man 50 Cent’s 52 room Connecticut mansion was burglarized this morning by two men who were later arrested, reports TMZ.
At 6am security guards for the property called police reporting a suspicious car in the driveway. Cops later showed up to the home and found two men in the house. However one of the men was found hidden in the closet drunk with a bottle of wine which he stole from 50.
Apparently marijuana was also found in possession of the gentlemen. We wonder if that was stolen from 50 also

Billboard album Sales Charts - Week Ending December 19th

With new albums from artists like Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift, there wasn't much room at the top of the charts this week but a new album from R Kelly was able to debut in 6th while Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" continues to sell well, dropping only one spot to 7th with another 98 thousand copies sold (22% MORE from last week).
     Diddy, slash Dirty Money, had their new "Last Train To Paris" album break the top 10 in its debut week while the Black Eyed Peas gained eight spots to number 11. Rihanna's new "Loud" album lost seven spots (to 14th) while it actually sold 7% more than last week plus Eminem sells a whopping 42% more this week moving up 5 spots to 19th.
       T.I. and his new "No Mercy" album goes from debuting at number 4 to dropping 59% in sales and landing in 23rd while Kanye West and his new "Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" drops twelve spots to 25th.

Former Cashmoney Rapper Murdered

Former Cash Money Records rapper Renetta "Magnolia Shorty" Lowe was fatally shot and killed yesterday (December 20th) in her hometown of New Orleans. Details on the incident was recently released online.
Sources have told Eyewitness News that the female victim in a double shooting Monday in New Orleans East is local rapper Magnolia Shorty. Magnolia Shorty and a man were shot to death inside of a car in New Orleans East just after noon Monday, according to the NOPD. A spokesman said police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 6300 block of Bridgehampton Drive in the east and when they arrived found the 28-year-old woman and an unidentified man shot to death inside of the car. Both victims were shot several times and both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Rick Ross Teflon Don Gets Newyork Times Best Album Of 2010

The New York Times recently ranked all of the albums that came out this year, putting all types of music together. When they ranked the albums they named Rick Ross and his "Teflon Don" the number one, over-all, album of the year, beating out other popular albums and artists like Taylor Swift and rappers Kanye West and Drake.

Lady Gaga wins MTV's woman of the year award

Providing even further proof that it's Lady Gaga's world and the rest of us are just living in it, the "Alejandro" singer has been named Woman of the Year by MTV—for the second year running.
Gaga beat out stiff competition such as Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jersey Shore enchantress Snooki and Nicki Minaj for the honor. (Nabbing top honors for Man of the Year? Gaga's would-be tour mate,to  Kanye West.)
Explaining their decision, MTV noted,
"Lady Gaga didn't even release a proper album in 2010, and somehow, she managed to become an even bigger star. Eminem & Lil Wayne On Saturday Night Live

     Over the weekend, Eminem and Lil Wayne were on "Saturday Night Live" where they put on two memorable performances. Starting off, the two performed "No Love," their collaboration from Eminem's "Recovery" album. Later the two performed new singles including Eminem's "Wont Back Down" and Lil Wayne's brand new "6'7'" from his upcoming "Tha Carter IV" album.
     When Lil Wayne took the stage with Eminem to perform "No Love," it served as the first televised performance since he was released from Rikers Island jail last month.

The story of Timaya

  Enetimi Odom, the singer popularly known as Timaya has come a long way from the Toyota Camry 2.2-cruising artiste of 2007, one of the benefits of the commercial success that trailed his debut album, True Story. When this reporter got to his well-appointed 5-bedroom duplex in Marwa Gardens, Ikeja, Lagos, last Monday afternoon, he was greeted by a glittering Range Rover Sport 2010. Black and shimmering, the ‘expensive machine’ was parked in front of the duplex. Inside, a white Escalade truck valued at about N10m sits in stately grandeur.
  Apparently, Timaya lives the roller coaster life he sings about. However, life has not always been this sweet for him. In Plantain Boy, the lead single off his current album, De-Rebirth, he talks about his humble beginnings, and how rich he is now which does not beggar much belief going by available indices. But, how rich is he really? Without as much as a twitch, he says, ”A few years ago, I could not afford three square meals; I had nowhere to stay; I was actually squatting with a girlfriend who would send me out of her house at the slightest offence. But now, my story has changed.
  “For every man, three things are fundamental, clothes, food and shelter. Those are no longer my problems. So, I‘m a very rich boy. I don‘t need to be as rich as (Mike) Adenuga to know that I am rich.” Timaya admits that sometimes he looks at himself and wonders whether his life is a fairy tale because “Whenever I look at my account, I get scared and ask myself, is all this money for me?”

Kween Finally Weds!

    It has been said that Kween Onokala and her partner Dotun Omotoye are exchanging wedding vows at a Lagos registry tomorrow Tuesday December 21.
Omotoye, who’s the father of Kween’s second son Tyronne, is a Lagos-based club proprietor who runs popular club ‘The Place’.
    The pair have been dating for a while now; with Omotoye announcing shortly after Kween got pregnant in 2008, that he would marry her.
And just when many were beginning to think the wedding plans would never materialize, Kween returned home months back, after two years hibernating in London.
   And, while many would expect her to rush back into music and put her career back in shape, the gifted singer is putting marriage first – setting her mind on the man of her dreams and preparing to settle down to married life.

A wedding reception has already been scheduled for ‘The Place’ tomorrow, immediately after the registry ceremony.

   T.I. who is in jail  recently shared his reaction to his new "No Mercy" album selling just over 159 thousand copies in it's first week in stores. With those numbers, "No Mercy" debuted at number 4 on the charts compared to his last project, "Paper Trail," selling 568,000 copies in it's first week and snagging the number 1 spot.He says
   "What up world? First off I'd like to thank everybody again for going out and supporting the "Hustle" yet again with "No Mercy" last week. I can't say enough on how much I appreciate the support and all the positive feedback. I read so many tweets, letters, reviews and comments that spoke volumes to how much love was still out there and how much respect still exists for my art and my passion. I put so much of myself into what I do. Last night was the big premiere of The Tourist in Rome. I wonder why they didn’t do it in Venice, where the film is largely set? Oh, right. There would have been a gondola red carpet. Anyway, keeping with the sketchy hair/goth clothes thing, Angelina wore shades of black for the premiere. This time she didn’t go with sleeve-gloves, though, and opted for what looks like an interesting Carmen Marc Valvo black velvet jacket, loose gray-black silk pants, big hair and red lips.

Miley Cyrus Feels Her smoking in an upcoming movie Was No Big Deal

The video of Miley Cyrus smoking legal hallucinogen salvia from a bong might have shocked and disappointed a sizable portion of the population—including her father, Billy Ray Cyrus—when it leaked last week, but the 18-year-old Hannah Montana star reportedly doesn't think it's any big deal.

P diddy tries keeping peace between Nicki Minaj and Lil kim

Bad Boy CEO Sean combs aka Diddy recently talked about how he has stepped in to try and work out the current problem between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, offering his opinion on both of the female rappers futures. Saying he hasn't remained close with Lil Kim, Diddy says he still has love for her.
"My whole take on the situation is that I love Lil' Kim no matter what's going on, no matter what's being said," Diddy said in an interview with Funk master Flex. "Kim definitely has a responsibility for my success. Me working with Nicki Minaj has nothing to do with going against Kim. When Kim works with other producers, when she raps with other artists, I'm not getting upset. It's not a problem...I think a lot of us who have been here for a long time including yourself, Flex, we have inspired a lot of people. We have motivated a lot of people, we have touched a lot of people in a certain way. We have been those cats that people aspire to be. I wouldn't be around Nicki if I ever heard [anything] negative said about Kim. I've never heard anything like that.

Lil wayne's Daughter wants to be like his father

  It seems like Lil Wayne's 12-year-old daughter Reginae plans to follow in the footsteps of her dad, becoming an entertainer. According to Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant, Reginae Carter sees herself becoming an entertainer.
"Reginae is just a star," Cortez said in an interview. "She wants to be singer, an actress, she does it all. A great personality. She takes after him. He's going to nurture whatever she wants to do. He's supporting her in anything that she wants to do. So, if she says she wants to sing, I know that Wayne is going to do everything in his power and help her fulfill that dream, and I'm going to be right there to nurture it.

Album Sales Charts - Week Ending December 12th

T.I. has his new "No Mercy" album debut at number four with over a 158 thousand copies sold in it's first week while Nicki Minaj gains two spots to 6th, despite losing 21% in sales from last week. Rihanna's "Loud" gains three spots with 8% more in sales while Kanye West has his new album move six spots down to 13th.
     The Black Eyed Peas drop to 19th (from 6th), plus with the help of a 12% boost in sales, Eminem gains one spot to 24th. Lil Wayne keeps his spot at 44th with 7% more in sales (around 27,000 copies)see chart below.

Rumors have hit the net that SlimShady will star in a new film in which he will play a boxer, but over the years lots of rumors have gone around about Eminem's next film so be careful. Reports say that Eminem will act in the upcoming movie "South paw," written by the creator of the television show, "Sons of Anarchy."
Rapper Eminem is set to return to the big screen playing a boxer in a proposed Dreamworks' production titled 'Southpaw'. DreamWorks told website TheWrap that the film will be developed as a star vehicle for Eminem, reports the Daily Telegraph. Kurt Sutter, the creator of 'Sons of Anarchy', will write the script.

 Recently an event was held in the sleepy town of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State called Best of Nolly wood Awards (BON). It was organized by an enterprising, young man that goes by the name Seun Oloketuyi.
All went well until it got to the Award for Best Actress. Nominees were Genevieve Nnaji for Silent Scandals, Omoni Oboli for The Figurine, Ini Edo for White Hunters, Rita Dominic for The Maiden, Nse Ikpe Etim for Guilty Pleasures.
The award came with a $10,000 dollar prize and Naturally, everyone wanted to see who would win it.
 The declared winner was Omoni Oboli and everyone congratulated her and went home.however there was a great injustice done.

The event was FAB Magazine’s Night out which held last night in Lagos, Nigeria, to celebrate a successful year for the quarterly magazine. Rita Dominic, Mo’ Cheddah, Omawunmi and many more were all there, plus there were performances from Eldee, Sasha,Bez and Mo’Cheddah. Lanre Da Silva, MAI, Ghana’s Jil Couture and UK’s Re Bahia also showcased a fashion show using only Vlisco fabric (which is wax print…ankara fabric)

Jim Iyke's Profile

Jim lyke Esomugha was born in Gabon Libreville to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Esomugha. Jim Iyke hails from Enugu Agidi village of Anambra state Eastern Nigeria.
Jim circumstance of birth can only be livened to other great personalities. As a destiny child, Jim was placed between 7 other sisters making him the only son among other siblings of his father's household. His early struggle to create a niche for himself was made manifest by his ability to believe and demonstrate his conviction at any given opportunity. After the completion of hsi primary and secondary school education he proceeded to the University of Jos in furtherance of his educational career. After his youth service, Jim lyke Esomugha relocated to Lagos in search of greener fleece but encountered frustration, setback and challenges; however, his early set back was cushioned by his contact with a Lagos based lawyer Barrister. Victor Opurum, who having identified the bundle of talent inherent in this enigma, encouraged him to continue the pursue of his dreams. Through sheer hard work, humility and unprecedented preservance, Jim survived all odds, excelled in his chosen career and has since proved to be among the best.
